Announcements from Jen Falk School Board Candidate District 3

The Jen Falk for School Board District III is hosting an event, recognizing and celebrating the arts in the Duluth Cluster schools. “Reflecting On Duluth,” A Celebration of the Arts in our Schools, will be held on Saturday, 3 March 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at the Work Spot, located at 3150 Main Street in downtown Duluth.

 

The focus of the evening is the importance of the arts in our community, and we will recognize the artists from our schools, including several from the SKA School of Art and Design, which is located in Duluth. You will also hear some nice music from our very own, talented Duluth Cluster students. Additionally, this is also the first official “Meet and Greet” for Jen Falk’s campaign for the District III School Board seat. You will have the opportunity to meet Jen and discuss the issues that matter most to you. If you like what you hear, you will also have an opportunity to support Jen’s campaign. Don’t Forget!  Early Voting!

Early voting for the Presidential Preference Primary and Nonpartisan Election started February 13 and will continue until March 2 2012.   Election day is March 6, 2012.  You can vote early at the Elections Office located at 455 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Voting will also take place on Saturday, February 25 at the Elections office and at satellite locations from February 27 to March 2. Please visit www.gwinnettelections.com for locations.

You can request an absentee ballot until March 2, 2012.   A completed application must first be received before an absentee ballot is issued. On February 7, a special election will be held to fill the vacant Georgia House of Representatives District 107 seat, which represents portions of Walton and Gwinnett counties. The election will only take place in 15 Gwinnett precincts, so voters should visit the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page or call the elections office at 678.226.7210 to find out if they are in House District 107.
