The 6th Congressional District runoff election is fast approaching and the Democratic Party of Georgia’s Voter Protection Program needs your help! We had a great group of volunteers for the April special election, and we hope you’ll join us again or for the first time on Tuesday, June 20th! This is a race we can win and voter protection will be key to securing victory. There will be over 200 polling places, and we want to keep our eyes on what is happening and make sure that votes are cast and counted. Each individual vote can make a difference.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Please sign up as a Voter Protection Volunteer and serve as our eyes and ears on the ground on June 20th! There are 2 ways to help:
Poll Watchers: For the runoff election, we are recruiting poll watchers to serve inside polling places. On Election Day, you will be credentialed to sit inside of the voting space and observe the voting process. You’ll be assigned to a cluster of locations to cover during your shift, and you’ll observe and report long lines, problems opening or closing polling places, high use of provisional ballots, voter registration-related matters and more. You’ll need to participate in a training session and have access to a smartphone during your volunteer shift.

Hotline Volunteers: On Election Day, we need a few volunteers to answer calls to our voter protection hotline at the Party’s office. Voters may have questions about ID requirements, polling locations, or activity at the polls. You’ll receive training, access to resource materials, and support from DPG staff.
