MLK Parade

WHEN: Monday, January 16, 2017
TIME: 11:00 AM
WHERE: Gwinnett Justice & Administration Center 75 Langley Drive Lawrenceville, GA 30046

The parade will end at Moore Middle School located at 1221 Lawrenceville Highway (HWY 29) at the intersection of Johnson Road. There is a lot of walking in this parade. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.

Here are the instructions from the parade organizers

Please report to section A, at the Gwinnett County Justice Center (courthouse), on Langley Drive.

There will be ushers to direct you upon arrival, If you have vehicles registered to be in the parade, they must be in position, no later than 10:15 am.

No vehicles dropping off persons will be allow to enter the parking lot at the justice center. All vehicles dropping off people, will do so behind the memorial program area. They will be directed to turn off Langley on to Constitution Blvd SW. The drop off point is approximately 100 yards from that intersection, behind the memorial area. There is a side walk that leads to it. (less than 50 yards)

Drive Slow in the line up area and please position your vehicle as directed by the ushers.

Please tell your group not to break off into the school yard at the end of the parade. They need to stay on the road to the back of the school bus lanes. That is where they can be fall out of line. Please please please. Do not break off and take pictures or anything else until you reach the bus lanes behind the school.

Lastly. This is celebration of Martin Luther King. This is not the event for you to protest, nor bring negativity. No signs nor chants authorized nor will be tolerated.
