The State of Ethics in the State of Georgia

On June 27, 2011

The recent resignation of Stacey Kalberman, Georgia’s top ethics enforcement official, and the dismissal of her deputy from their positions with the State Ethics Commission, was alarming news.  It is outrageous that Ms. Kalberman and her deputy were effectively forced out of their positions after requesting subpoenas in the investigation of Governor Nathan Deal.
